Almond Butter Crunch

¾ cup butter
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tbsp corn syrup
3 tbsp water

Bring to boil & cook to 290 – soft crack stage. NO STIRRING!

Remove from heat & pour on cookie sheet, over:
1 ½ cups toasted almonds

Caramels

2 cups sugar
1 ½ cups white syrup
½ cup butter
1 ½ cups cream

Put sugar, syrup, butter & ½ cream in pot. Bring to boil & gradually add rest of cream (do not stop boil). Cook to 238 (just past soft ball stage). Stir often. Add nuts & vanilla. Pour into greased 10×10 pan.

Do not double recipe. Cook approx. 1 hour.

Remarkable Fudge

4 cups sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup butter
Butter sides of heavy 3 quart saucepan. Combine ingredients & cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (236), stirring frequently.

Remove from heat & add:
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (350 gm pkg.)
2 ccups marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup broken nuts

Beat until chocolate is melted & blended. Pour into greased 9×9 pan. Score into squares while still warm. Cut when firm. Makes 3 dozen pieces.

Fabulous Chocolate Fudge

1 ½ cups white sugar
2/3 cup canned milk
3 cups mini marshmallows
¼ cup margarine
½ tsp salt

Stir & bring to boil. Keep stirring & boil steadily 10 min. Add:
1 tsp vanilla
350 gm pkg chocolate chips
Stir in chips & immediately pour into greased 8×8 pan.

Carmel Corn

1 cup margarine
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup corn syrup

Boil 5 min. Add:
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp vanilla

Pour over 1 cup uncooked popcorn – popped. Mix & spread on baking sheets. Bake 20-30 min @ 250, stirring once. Spread on counter to cool.

Very good with whole almonds added.

Soda Cracker Candy

Line cookie sheet (Jelly roll pan) with foil & grease. Arrange soda crackers to cover bottom.

Boil for 3 min:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter

Pour over crackers and spread. Bake 5 min @ 350. Remove from oven & sprinkle with chocolate chips, when bubbling stops. Spread. Cut into pieces.

Nuts & Bolts

1 ½ cup margarine
2 ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tbsp celery salt
1 tsp onion salt

Mix & melt together. Then drizzle over a mix of:

9 cups Cheerios
4 cups Shreddies
4 cups pretzels
2 ½ cups peanuts

Bake in roast pan 1-2 hours @ 250, stirring occasionally.

Peanut Butter Fudge

1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cups milk
2 tbsp butter

Cook until softball stage. Add ¼ cup peanut butter.
