1 ½ cups raisins
2/3 cup liquid
¼ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
1 ½ cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp salt

Cover raisins with water & boil 20 min. save liquid (cool). Cream butter, sugar & egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid. Fold in raisins. Bake cupcake tins
12-15 min. Cool. Frost with Butter icing.

Butter Icing:
½ cup butter
3 cup icing sugar
1 ½ tsp vanilla
3 tbsp cream
(make ½ recipe for cupcakes)

½ cup shortening
1 egg
1 tbsp corn syrup
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 ¾ cups icing sugar

Beat well.

1/3 cup oil
2 squares unsweetened chocolate

Heat in 8” square pan in 350 oven to melt chocolate. Add:

¾ cup water
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 ¼ cups flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Beat with a fork until smooth (2 min). Spread in pan. Sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips. Bake 40 min @ 350. Cool.

1 ½ cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs (well beaten)
3 squares chocolate (melted)
¾ cup canned milk
1 tsp vanilla

Sift flour with baking powder & salt. Cream butter with sugar until fluffy. Add eggs & beat well. Then add chocolate. Blend. Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Fill greased cupcake pans 2/3 full. Bake 20 min @ 350. Makes 20.

1 250 gm pkg cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups (or less) icing sugar

Beat until smooth.
