2 cups flour
1 tbsp sugar
4 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup shortening
1 egg beaten
2/3 cup milk

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Combine milk & egg, add to flour mixture. Stir with fork – do not over mix.

Either roll out & cut into biscuits, or, drop by heaping tbsp onto greased sheet. Bake 10-14 min @ 450.
